Eco Action Day is an annual energy saving campaign held in Singapore to encourage office participation nationwide, in commemoration of World Environment Day on the 5th of June.

Taking into account the number of hours that we spend in the office each day, the commitment by companies and the difference they can make cannot be ignored. That is why Ricoh, together with Singapore Environment Council (SEC), came together to set up Eco Action Day in 2007 – to encourage organisations, large or small, to set aside just one day a year to go green.

Since its inception, organisations around the island have pledged their actions to make a difference. Focusing on resource and energy conservation, participating organisations make a collective effort to save total energy expended on this day, in a bid to counter the effects of climate change.

Eco actions may vary in type and scale and there are no restrictions. It may be as simple as switching off the lights during lunch hour or turning up the temperature on the air-conditioner for the day. Going green is easy. Our little action play a part to impact the environment. Why not join in now?
