Eco Action Day 2011

In the 5th run of Eco Action Day this year, a total of 75 organizations were drawn to participate in this energy saving campaign in their office. MNC such as Shell and Panasonic, government bodies such as Ministry of National Development and Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board, tertiary institution such as National University of Singapore, and some Primary and Secondary Schools were one of the participants.

While energy saving initiatives comes limitlessly, many organizations think out of box with creative ideas such as "Green Vegetable Day" and "Green Attire" to promote environmental awareness among the staffs. Other initiatives also include car pooling and setting up recycling bins within the office. These collective efforts may appear positive impact in minimal, however, changing to right environmental attitude and behavior are believed to tackle the climate change in long run.
